背景描述 The line was established from cells from a mediastinal biopsy of a patient with small cell carcinoma of the lung. The patient had not received prior therapy.The patient had not received prior therapy. The cells express HLA class I and class II antigens. Early passages of the cells were contaminated with a bovine mycoplasma (Acholeplasma laidlawii) which was cured (prior to cryopreservation) with A. laidlawii antiserum and kanamycin.
